Chinese Light Industry Machinery Association Expands Horizons with the 6th Session of the 5th Council Meeting and Common Technology Research & Development Seminar in Hangzhou.
On December 9, 2023, the 6th Session of the 5th Council Meeting and Common Technology Research & Development Seminar of the Chinese Light Industry Machinery Association, organized by the association and hosted by Hangzhou Mechanical and Electrical Design Research Institute Co., Ltd., unfolded in Hangzhou.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Yu Hongzhi, Party Secretary, and General Manager of Hangzhou Mechanical and Electrical Design Research Institute. He expressed a hearty welcome to the leaders of the association and representatives from various enterprises. Mr. Yu provided insights into the institute's development journey, its main business sectors, and expressed a desire for continued collaboration in technical services, engineering design, equipment supply, engineering contracting, standard formulation, product testing, judicial appraisal, and more.
Ms. Wang Xin, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Chinese Light Industry Machinery Association, presented the 2023 work report on behalf of Chairman Lu Dangjun. The report covered the economic performance of the light industry machinery sector, key deliberations on matters such as changes in leadership for the Science Education Branch of the association, and the lineup of the leadership team for the association's upcoming reshuffle. Additionally, it provided updates on the association's 2023 membership development and summarized key points from national policies and guidance documents supporting high-quality development in the manufacturing sector over the past year.
In the 2023 work report, Vice Chairman Wang Xin highlighted the association's efforts in party building, communication of national policies, fulfilling the work deployment of the China Light Industry Federation, promoting the digital transformation of the light industry equipment sector, establishing school-enterprise collaboration platforms, leveraging the role of professional colleges and universities in scientific research, benchmarking exemplary enterprises to guide technological advancements in the industry, and actively participating in standardization work to enhance its leading role.
The meeting successfully approved all agenda items, concluding the 6th Session of the 5th Council Meeting of the Chinese Light Industry Machinery Association with the anticipated outcomes. In her concluding remarks, Vice Chairman Wang Xin acknowledged the industry's resilience and progress in the face of challenges throughout 2023, emphasizing the achievements in innovation, industrial intelligence, and transformative advancements. She encouraged enterprises to intensify efforts in digital and intelligent transformation, contributing to the elevation of China's light industry machinery sector.
Vice Chairman Wang Xin offered several recommendations for the industry's future development:

In the concluding remarks of the Common Technology Research & Development Seminar, Vice Chairman Wang Xin emphasized the significance of the meeting as a promising beginning for industry-wide common technology research.
